Incumbent Worker Training
2007-2008 Incumbent Worker Training Grants
In collaboration with the Workforce Investment Boards of Chester and Montgomery Counties and the Chester County Economic Development Council, ITAG has secured $327,600 in grant funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry to support incumbent worker training for the partnership during the 2007-2008 fiscal year. This is the second round of incumbent worker training grants for ITAG: between January and June of 2007, $339,000 was allocated to train more than 450 employees from 32 companies.
In addition to aggregate training which will be provided based on identified training needs, individual ITAG member companies may request training funds for their employees. All applications to access ITAG training grant funds must be received by November 15, 2007, and will be reviewed by the ITAG Grant Review Committee by November 30, 2007. Companies will be notified of their grant awards on or before December 14, 2007. All application materials have been attached for your convenience. Grants will be inclusive of training from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. All training must be concluded by the deadline of June 30, 2008.
A meeting will be held on November 1 from 9:00 am-10:00 am at the CCEDC to review the application packet and reporting requirements.
